Filming Diary

Our first day of filming only incorporated three scenes from our video. Each of these scenes took longer then anticipated, therefore we did not have time to film as much as initially planned.  However we do consequently have several takes of each shot which is useful when editing in order for us to be able to use the best quality footage possible and use more match on action throughout the music video.
We also encountered some problems during filming, such as lighting. As we were indoors we used handheld lights to improve the quality of our film, although these were difficult to keep consistent through different angled shots. To overcome this we made sure that we always kept the lighting just above the camera to keep it out of shot but on our actress.
Another major issue we had was the focus on the camera. As we were using a different camera, to get better quality footage, we weren't as familiar with its features and therefore has difficulty focusing it on our protagonist properly however through testing it in practise shots we learnt how to adjust these settings.
