Digipak Advert
When creating my advert for the digipak, I needed to make sure it was recognisable In order to obtain this I used similar features to the ones on my cover, such as lightning, bight light and smokiness. I also used a very similar photograph with the same costume, hair and make-up but in a different position. This makes the artist distinguishable and will make her more well known. I found on other advertisement, extensive information was off-putting and made it less effective therefore I left my text very minimalist, only including the name of the album, the artist and a successful song on the album which fans or the general public may recognise I also used a bright light to give a spotlight illusion on the album in order to direct the audiences attention to that area, however when making my final advert, I will need to make sure that the album cover itself is bigger in order for the audience to be able to see it clearer. I will also make the writing more distinctive and include more information so I can sell the audience on the album. This could include information such as the albums content or ratings.

Album Cover
Making this digipak cover, I wanted to experiment with layering images to create a specific album style. I decided to go for a dark mysterious look incorporating subtle bright lights after looking at existing album covers for inspiration, as these are features I found to be distinct and intriguing on artwork. I decided to do this by incorporating various features from a night sky and blending them together in order to achieve this style of background. To make my artist fit into this design, I used various tools to blend her to my colour scheme and added a glow around the left side of her hair and a bolt of lightning over-lay on the right hand side to bring this piece together.
When making my final front cover I would like to use the technique of layering however I want to use more advanced techniques when editing the picture of my artist rather than using simplistic tools to create the cover as well as reconsidering my fonts in order to make it look more professional.

Analysis of Previous Student's Work
From analysing previous student's work I have learnt what aspects are important when creating a video and how minor factors can effect it. One of the most important things I found was the realism of the video. This was mostly created through mise en scene; for example, body language, costumes, props, locations, lighting and facial expressions. All of these bring the video together and intrigue an audience. I also found features such as hand held camera moments and point of view shots made the music video more captivating as viewers feel like they are a part of the scene. These are all things which I will take into consideration when making my own music video as I now feel like I have a better understanding of the importance of minor details, the length and timings of shots as well as elaborate planning in advance. Completing this task has also given me a clearer interpretation of how the music videos are assessed and graded, therefore I will follow this criteria in order to create a more successful music video.

Magic Trick - Three
While filming this trick we learnt to pick a specific camera angle and keep the filming from the same position while its on a tripod. This prevented the camera moving between the two shots and showing a movement in the background. During editing, we found the use of sound effects can emphasize an action or movement, diverting the audiences attention to the magic trick.
Magic Tricks - Two
Filming this trick also involved precise positioning, however this was more difficult to maintain. Switching between characters as they are walking through a door proved to be challenging as it was not possible to replicate the exact point of the previous character, therefore resulting in misplacements as we walked through the doors. The jumps were easier to edit as cuts between were more subtle due to the characters were better lined up with each other so viewers cannot see the sudden cut between the shots.
Magic Tick - One
To make this trick we used various chairs in different colours and switched them between shots. From this we learnt the importance of the preciseness of the characters and chair's position. In order to maintain it's realism, both need to remain in the exact same position to prevent the audience from seeing obvious cropping or cuts between shots in which the chairs were moved.

Branding
http://rebeccacbradford.wix.com/branding
Branding is very important in the music industry as it allows artist to establish themselves and appeal to their primary and secondary audiences. In order to use this they can use logos, fashion, address modes, pictures and social media. This allows them to create their own kind of innovative style which will allow them to be recoginsable to fans and a wider audience. From researching branding I now know the importance of branding and how it allows an artist to establish themselves as well as how to use it for my own artist. When branding my artist I will need to consider many minor aspects of mise en scene, such as lighting, costume and props. This is because it will create a particular 'look' for my artist and will allow for their album, music video and any other products to become recognizable among others.
