Photoshoot
When planning the photoshoot I wanted to give it a mysterious look, as I had seen this style with many other artists in the singer/songwriter genre. In order to do this, I shot it in front of a dark background with low key lighting from one side as well as incorporating specific aspects of mine en scene, such as simplistic hair and make-up as well as dark costume. This would help me photoshop the front cover later as it already had the style I was going for. A problem I encountered from using a black background was photoshopping my model into a different setting. This was because her costume blended to the back, due to the identical colours and low key lighting, meaning I couldn't distinguish the lines precisely.

Analysis of Digipak Adverts
Completing this task I have learnt how artists and bands market themselves through branding a 'look' the style of their latest project is used in all aspects of advertising in order to make them distinguishable and recognisable. The majority of posters used the same colour scheme, design, photography and fonts which were used on the album cover, only in a different layout to support it's shape. This is something I will take into consideration when creating my own poster for the digipak.

The 30 Cut Chorus
Completing this task I learnt how frequent and how important cuts are in a music video. Having 30 cuts in a 45 second chorus made me realise the importance of planning ahead and making a storyboard for our music video so we have enough different takes of a scene. Without the swift and frequent cuts it would make the video more unappealing to the audience as it would not be as intersing and engaging to viewers. I also learnt about the importance of precise timing when using match on action in a music video. As there are a lot more cuts than in most other forms of film, with more variation in camera angles, it is more difficult to get the right timing and positioning of the characters. This inaccuracy led to the video lacking in realism, therefore I will need to make sure it is more precisely executed when filming my music video.
